Painting something to see later materialize makes me feel like a weird medium.

I believe going through life is a sum of gains and losses. Sooner or later, we need to lose everything we gain during its course, except for the experience. Therefore, the experience is our only actual gain. If the highest value has what we have been through, that leads to a conclusion that we did well each time, whenever we did something wrong, if we took it as a lesson.
